CT RiverHawks Picture Day

We will be taking individual and team photos the week of November 7th. Specific team picture taking schedules will be provided closer to the week of November 7th.

In preparation for picture day, LifeTouch has opened our Online Photo Registration (OPR) so that you can order your players pictures online without the hassle of the forms on picture day. In addition, OPR allows you to build your own photo package which is not available when using purchase forms the day of your players’ picture.

Welcome to the 2016/2017 CT Riverhawks Season!

We are always looking for ways to bring you more value and your child more hockey development opportunities. This season we have exciting plans that will give our players and families a great hockey experience.

We will be continuing…

  • The ADM Skills Sessions as a third ice touch.  They will be run by Director of Hockey, Coach Greg Maxey, and his hand-selected team of instructors.  This was a great addition to the program last year that the kids and parents benefited from greatly.

New this season we will

  • PowerSkating Clinics as the first few sessions during the ADM Skills Sessions.  A great way to start the season is by focusing on skating technique and strength.  These powerskating clinics will be led by our in-house PowerSkating Instructor Sean Ryan.  Sean played college hockey for Salve Regina University after a year of prep hockey at Philip Exeter Academy and is a qualified power skating instructor and skills coach.

  • Professional Dryland Training for Bantam, Peewee and Squirts.  As part of each Bantam, PeeWee and Squirt player’s tuition, we will be providing 1 night per week of hockey dryland training at Inspire Fitness.  These team sessions will be led by Riverhawks Conditioning Coach Johnny Longo, who will be creating hockey specific conditioning plans for the teams.  Johnny played college hockey for University of Vermont and in the ECHL and runs the Johnny Longo’s Strength Academy.

  • CT Riverhawks Day.  Come to The Rinks on Saturday September 24th; 12:00 – 3:00pm for Riverhawks Day, where players and families can enjoy the Sports Center of CT facilities, meet other families and the Riverhawks Board of Directors, tour Inspire Fitness gym, learn about HeadZone and Mouthguard safety programs, and eat and drink from local food places.  It’s a great way to celebrate the start of the Riverhawks season!
